Hi, I'm Steve Hodgson, a portrait and landscape photographer from Sunderland.
I got into photography when my father told me the stories of him developing his own photographs in a dark room he had made at home, capturing images on a twin-lens reflex camera. He even used his own camera, shot his and mum's wedding photos and developed them himself (obviously having someone press the shutter for photographs he was included in).
Film was on the way out and that is something I must try at some point, however i got my first real digital camera to take photographs when I was 20 years old. A Canon 400D. I have since evolved from that over the years although I still do have them for sentimental reasons. I still also have my fathers camera.
I strive to capture the moment, the memory and the emotion in my images that will live on long after I am no longer here.
